Kenering Reservoir is one of the well-known locations for giant snakehead (toman) fishing in Perak. The lake is part of the larger Sungai Perak system and has long been recognised by local anglers as a productive hunting ground for these powerful freshwater predators.

Unlike heavily developed lakes, Kenering still offers a relatively quiet fishing environment surrounded by hills and natural forest. The lake is filled with submerged timber, shallow bays, and sheltered coves, creating ideal ambush points for toman.
