It is an interesting debate since peacock bass was introduced to Malaysia and identified as invasive species. It is also interesting to debate wether peacock bass is the top predator or there are also predators that feed on peacock bass here in Malaysia. One of the lakes we frequently fish here has both quality peacock bass and snakeheads. We see the populations as balanced. Other lakes you can obviously see that populations between peacock bass and snakeheads are inclined towards between the two competing species. You can catch both trophy peacock bass and giant snakeheads in this lake. Here are few photos of trophy size peacock bass eaten by the giant snakeheads in this lake.
